This is Poorthuis Packaging's first time exhibiting at Fruit Logistica in Berlin. And the timing could not be better, says this Dutch company's team. Poorthuis is showcasing a wide range of new vegetable and (convenience) fruit packaging, like the complete series of top seal buckets and rPET trays. 'Pro-consumer" recycled material is increasingly used to make these buckets and trays. They get more and more 'Tray2Tray' material to use for an increasing number of packaging.
Poorthuis developed and introduced the first PP tomato bucket in 2008. It was 20% lighter than standard buckets in the market. "Now, at Fruit Logistica, we're presenting Europe's lightest PP bucket. It's again 20% lighter than the current buckets. The buckets and lids are also available as a 'mono' set and are 100% recyclable," says Team Poorthuis. "Alongside this plastic packaging, we have a range of cardboard packaging, including a bucket and lid, that can be printed in full color."
Poorthuis Packaging's stand at Fruit Logistica in Berlin is in Hall 1.2, stand A-14.
