In January-December 2022, Uzbekistan imported 140.2 thousand tons of bananas from abroad in the amount of 63.4 million US dollars. During this time, banana imports increased by 157.2% (51.0 thousand tons) compared to the corresponding period in 2021.
Countries from which Uzbekistan imported the most bananas in January-December 2022 were: Ecuador, with 138.9 thousand tons. Kazakhstan, with 426 tons. Turkmenistan, 345 tons. Turkey, 197 tons. Other countries were good for 299 tons.
