British men don’t eat as many vegetables as women; this is quite well-known. A new survey now claims vegetables are snubbed by them because they feel they don’t fill them up. Nearly half of men questioned about why they don’t eat enough vegetables said it was because vegetables aren’t filling enough.
The survey was commissioned by SmarterNaturally. The Health Survey for England has found consistently since 1994 that women eat more fruit and vegetable portions each day. In the survey, men also said they would rather focused on “the good stuff” like protein, that real mean at meat rather than vegetables, that they don't like being nagged to eat more vegetables, that they don’t like the taste/texture of vegetables and had bad childhood experiences that put them off eating vegetables.
