A Kazakh delegation, led by the First Vice-Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Shakkaliyev and representatives of the regions, has visited Tajikistan. This resulted in the parties signing an agreement on the supply of early onions from Tajikistan in the off-season.
The main topic of the negotiations was to provide the Kazakh market with the necessary fruit and vegetable products during the upcoming off–season, when the stocks of local vegetables are running out and there is a need for their import.
As Arman Shakkaliyev noted, today trade and economic relations between our countries are experiencing a qualitative rise. The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan in 2022 amounted to $1.4 billion. The volume of exports from Kazakhstan to Tajikistan increased by 9.7% and reached $877.6 million. The parties agreed to further develop and strengthen cooperation in the field of trade.
