Combimetal Carrera, a company from southern Italy specializing in the production and setting up of steel structures and manufacturer of innovative systems for the production of soilless strawberries, has developed a new cart for the harvesting of strawberries and berries.
Production manager Rocco Carrera.: "The project was developed to facilitate the work of entrepreneurs and those in charge of fruit harvesting. Our cart is equipped with a mechanical step that helps reach plants on the higher rows."
The Combimetal Carrera cart is made of hot-galvanized and/or electrolytic galvanized steel. "In the bottom part, there is a compartment for empty crates (around 10), while the top part is large enough for full ones. It is ideal to supply wholesale markets and for the pre-processing of goods to be shipped to the big retail chain. The height and width can vary depending on client needs."
"We have opted for inner tube wheels as they do not damage mats (where present), they adapt to irregular floors, and are ideal for transporting heavy goods on uneven grounds."
The company reports that, although the product has just been launched on the market, there are already quite a few orders, especially from Basilicata, Calabria, and Puglia. "The contained manufacturing costs make our carts even more popular. Companies that use hydroponic and aeroponic systems are getting in touch as well."
