Kazakhstan is buying fruits from Peru and the Netherlands

In the first quarter of this year, Kazakhstan purchased nearly 133,000 tons of fruit, which is 1.2% less than in the same period last year. The most imported fruits were mandarins, to 27.7 thousand tons (+36.2%). Pakistan, China, and Turkey were the main supplier countries.

The import of avocados also increased, to 71.2 tons (+14.6%). They were imported from Peru, Russia, and the Netherlands. The supply of pineapples also grew to 337.9 tons (+3.9 times), imported from China and Costa Rica. Grapes also increased to 18.9 thousand tons (+3.9%), imported from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

Apple imports decreased by almost 16% to 21.9 thousand tons. Poland is still a major seller, as it has been for the past few years. Banana deliveries also decreased by 18.3%, to 19.3 thousand tons, traditionally purchased from Ecuador.
