Phytosanitary inspectors return over 43 tons of potatoes to Austria

The Republic Phytosanitary Inspection prohibited the import of two consignments of potatoes with a total quantity of 43.3 tons originating from Austria, because it was determined that they did not meet quality requirements.

The inspection of the shipments revealed a significant presence of tubers that are in the stage of rotting, all shipments had an unpleasant smell of rotting, which is why they are unacceptable and unsuitable for human consumption.
