Producer prices for agricultural products within the Eurasian Economic Union have decreased by 3.4% since the beginning of 2023.
The Eurasian Economic Commission has recorded a decline in the cost of agricultural products as follows:
Armenia: 22.7% decrease,
Belarus: 7.8% decrease,
Kazakhstan: 4.7% decrease,
Russia: 2.7% decrease.
Meanwhile, there has been a reduction in the export of fruits from Armenia. The Ministry of Economy has stated that Armenia's agricultural exports this year are expected to reach around 140,000 tons. Fruits are forecast to account for about 80,000 tonnes of this amount, with vegetables making up the rest.
Approximately 94% of Armenian fruits are exported to EEU member countries, with the remainder going to Georgia, Ukraine, the UAE, Qatar, Germany, France, and Australia.
As of early August, export volumes of fruit and vegetable crops have decreased by approximately 30%, totalling 33,100 tons, while fruit exports have decreased by 22.7%, totalling 14,400 tons.
