Peaches and nectarines are also popular fruits that are grown in Tajikistan. Last year, Tajikistan earned more than half a million dollars from the export of fresh peaches and nectarines.
Tajik lemons differ from their foreign counterparts and are known for their thin skin, special taste, and bright aroma. Today, more than 1.5 thousand hectares of land are used for lemon cultivation in Tajikistan, which annually produce over 50 thousand tons. In 2022, about 1.4 thousand tons of lemons were exported for $481 thousand.
Tajik cherries also have a unique taste. The annual volume of cultivation is small, but it goes very well for export. Last year, about 600 tons were sold for $353,000.
