Despite the fact that the last day of the fair was cancelled due to bad weather, Asia Fruit Logistica was a positive experience for Graziani Packaging. "We established good contacts with operators from Australia, New Zealand and India, which enabled us to strengthen relations and widen our perspectives," commented export manager Andrea Francesconi.
Graziani had not attended Asia Fruit Logistica in a few years. "I liked the fair, and many people attended. We did not do much on the first day, despite the crowds. The second day was much better although there were fewer people. We established good contacts, which makes me believe the fair has gone well."
Francesconi had a few meetings planned for the third day, which had to be cancelled. "It is a pity, because there are not many occasions to meet in person. But one cannot do much when it comes to bad weather. Unlike the main island of Hong Kong, the island of the fair and of the airport were affected. I was staying at a hotel near the fair, so luckily there were no problems for me."
Francesconi is pleased also for another reason as well. "I made contacts with operators from Africa's east coast, Kenya and Tanzania, and also with exporters from America's west coast, so the fair was a success after all."
