NASA's Perseverance rover photographed 'avocado' on the surface of Mars

On February 18, 2021, NASA's Perseverance rover touched down on the surface of Mars. Since then, it has been exploring the red planet, while simultaneously looking for any evidence of past microbial life.

Throughout the time Perseverance has spent on the surface of Mars, it has run into some pretty interesting objects, most of them are rocks in unique shapes and sizes. On September 8, the Mars rover stumbled across an avocado-shaped rock.

Sure, this isn't actually a Martian fruit. However, time will have to tell what will be discovered by the dapper rover.
