Carlópolis, in the Northern Pioneer Region, is the ‘National Guava Capital’. It is a recognition not only of the quantity of fruit produced in the municipality, but also of the quality, which opened doors to the international market, with exports to countries in Europe and the Middle East.
These results are the result of an integrated effort that mainly includes the dedication of producers and the work of IDR-Paraná with technical support for farmers . Previously, in 2016, it had already obtained Geographical Indication (GI) registration with the National Institute of Intellectual Property (Inpi), with support from Sebrae, the city hall and the State Government.
