Mexican row crop season well underway

Bridges Produce looks forward to exhibiting at the upcoming 2023 IFPA Global Produce & Floral Show. The location of this year’s show in Anaheim, California is convenient to both its customer and grower base. Bridges was founded in Oregon and still has a strong foundation in the Western United States, so it expects to see an especially good turnout from its partners this year.

The team from Bridges Produce.

Bridges focuses on providing a well-rounded organic program that includes both domestic and imported products, all of which will be on display at Bridges booth 4065. It will display its fall offerings including organic apples, pears, potatoes, onions and hard squash--all of which are available now. The timing of the show falls during the ramp-up of its Mexican row crop season which runs from mid-September through June. This program includes products from three grower partners and is packed into the Rico Farms and Aztlan labels. The Mexican season features a strong supply of summer and winter squash, cucumbers, eggplant and chili and bell peppers as well as a shorter season of green beans, tomatoes, tomatillos and a spring melon crop.

Bridges will have six team members attending the show. These individuals specialize in a wide variety of commodities including blueberries, North and South American apples and pears and Mexican row crops. The company’s newest addition, Rodrigo Velasquez, will be at the show as well. Velasquez has a long history in produce, specifically organics.

In addition to the staff, there will also be several of Bridges’ grower partners from the U.S., Argentina, New Zealand and Mexico in attendance. By coming to the show, they will see what is current and upcoming in the industry as well as get to visit customers face to face and deepen that important connection between the products’ origins and the purchaser.
