Limoré brand selected by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Arab Emirates

"We have come to the Persian Gulf for business too"

Dozens of applications were made, but only a few Italian companies were selected for the Italian Food, Beverage & Equipment companies in the Gulf project. Among them, Consorzio Produttori di Limoni Associati from Rocca Imperiale, which sells the produce in Europe under the Limoré brand.

The initiative started on September 29th and will last 6 months (until March 31st, 2024). It is managed by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Arab Emirates, Dubai and Abu Dhabi and the objective is to become a point of reference for importers and distributors in the entire Persian Gulf area and beyond.

Over the next few months, the Chamber of Commerce will focus on finding commercial connections for the companies part of the project, targeting clients and participating in fair and events. It will also actively search for distributors in the six GCC member countries (Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar).

"A new phase has just started for Limoré. After the client retention phase on the numerous European markets, we will now focus on the Middle East. We managed to pass the selection process although we are aware of only being a small business with limited volumes. Even though maybe this is what helped us getting chosen. Our lemons were carefully assessed by the experts of the Chamber of Commerce and are considered a niche product, famous for its high limonene content (78%) and juice yields exceeding 40%. Limoré will be destined to demanding high-end clients - foreign consumers willing to pay a price higher than average because they want high quality. We will illustrate not only the amazing flavor of a unique lemon, but also the history of a fruit that has been grown in Rocca Imperiale for centuries. At the moment, our only worry is an escalation of the war between Israel and Hamas and the unavoidable consequences it would have. The conflict in Ukraine has already taught us a lot," explains the President of the cooperative Pietro Buongiorno.
