Lidl Ireland agrees €1.5 mln vegetable deal with Begleys Fresh Produce

Lidl Ireland has made a €1.5 million deal with Irish fruit and vegetable supplier Begleys Fresh Produce. The companies have worked in partnership since 2001, and Begleys has been determined to expand its supply of sprouts and pumpkins to Lidl this autumn. The Dublin-based family business operates several sites across the country and manages close to 400 ha of Irish produces, including carrots, courgettes, squash, cabbage, cucumbers, lettuces, fresh beetroot, pak choi and cauliflower.

James O'Regan, commercial director at Begleys: "We look forward to harvesting our wide range of Irish products again this year including our sprouts and pumpkins. We are excited to see our partnership with Lidl continue to achieve great success in the years to come.”
