New store for fresh produce in France

Last Thursday, a new pilot store of the O’frais chain opened its door in Saint-Eulalie, near Bordeaux. Specialized in fresh and local produce, O’frais wants to join forces with the Anges bakery chain, which currently counts 450 sales outlets in France.

“Fresh and local products for everyone”
Offering meat, fish and self-service fruit and vegetables, O’frais wants to become a specialist in fresh produce, differentiating itself on the basis of local produce and price. “Local products represent 40% of the supply for most of the range,” explains David Triffault, buyer of fruit, vegetables and fish. Fresh and local products for everyone: the new brand wants to offer its products to a “broad clientele in terms of purchasing power.”

O frais wants “the product and the production to come first, whether they are conventional, organic, HEV or with another label. We select our suppliers according to the way they work and the products they offer.” According to David, “feedback from clients has been very positive.” They are satisfied with “the prices, the quality of the products and the choice on offer. Within one week, we already saw some people return several times to the store.”
