Peruvian citrus exports have decreased by 11%

A week after the end of the citrus campaign, Peruvian citrus exports amounted to 223,755 tons, i.e. 11% less than in the previous campaign. According to data from Fresh Fruit, in the last week, Peru exported 2,872 tons of citrus, i.e. 83% more than last year. The country exported its citrus to 15 destinations, although the first three concentrated 73% of all shipments.

The main destinations were the United States, with a 40% share; the Netherlands, with 25%; and Mexico, with 9%.

A total of 1,145 tons were shipped to the North American country, i.e. 64% more than in the same week of 2022. 713 tons were sent to the Netherlands, i.e. 64% more than last year. 250 tons were sent to Mexico.
