EU apple production forecast at 11,411,000 tons for 2023

The monthly weighted price for apples (in € per 100 kgs) ex-packaging station stood at €79.65 in September, in Germany. That is a rise of about €4 compared to the month before. The Spanish paid €103.44, the French paid €143.71 and the Italians paid €94.23.

EU apple production forecasts amount to 11,411,000 tons for 2023, down 3.27% YoY.

Poland, Italy, France and Spain remain the largest EU producers of the fruit.
