The EU production forecast for bananas produced in the Union and marketed in their region of production (Jan-Dec 2023) comes in at 53,931 tons for Spain, 6,613 tons for France and 1,035 tons for Greece. Total production for 2023 is forecast at 661,487 tons.
For this year, prices of bananas produced in the EU and marketed outside their region of production are forecast to stand at €0.79 /kg.
Portuguese prices will probably end up at around €1.07 /kg and the same goes for bananas from Greece.
