Increased avocado consumption in Brazil causes production to more than double

Due to increased consumption in the country, avocado production more than doubled in Espírito Santo. Venda Nova do Imigrante, in the Mountain Region, is the city that produces the most fruit in the state.

Venda Nova do Imigrante is known for its diversity of altitude, the Polenta Festival and also for its pioneering spirit in avocado production. And this same production, at the beginning, was smaller. It ran from May to September and lasted about 5 months. Now, based on studies of the fruit's behavior, it is possible to produce avocados throughout the year. The fruit is so fashionable that from January to August 2023 the state has already exported nine times more compared to last year.
