Prices for tomatoes and cucumbers in the Volgograd region are steadily increasing

Volgograd's tomatoes have caught up with the price of imported bananas

Prices in the Volgograd region are steadily increasing, with vegetables experiencing a sharper rise than other products. According to statistical data, the weekly consumer price monitoring report has been published.

Fresh cucumbers have risen by 9.13%, reaching 0.90 euros per kilogram. Tomatoes increased by 9.24%, reaching 1.2 euro per kilogram. Notably, these local vegetables have almost matched the cost of bananas, which do not grow in this region. Currently, a kilogram of bananas in the Volgograd region costs 1.3 euros, a 1.69% increase from the previous week. Apples have risen by 1.22%, reaching 0.86 euros per kilo.

While some vegetable prices have decreased slightly, such as potatoes by 1.8%, carrots by 1.2%, onions by 0.7%, beets by 0.5%, and white cabbage by 0.4%.
