The import of quarantined products in October 2023 decreased by 17% compared to the same period in 2022

Over 1,000 tons of fruit and vegetable products were imported into the Kuzbass territory in October 2023

In October 2023, officials from the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance in the Republics of Khakassia and Tuva and the Kemerovo Region – Kuzbass, controlled 1,088.6 tons of quarantined products upon importation into the Kuzbass territory. The import of quarantined products in October 2023 decreased by 17% compared to the same period in 2022.

The main quarantined products were imported from the Republic of Kazakhstan, totalling 1,027.1 tons. The main assortment includes onions with a volume of 704 tons, carrots – 140 tons, dried fruits – 44.8 tons, potatoes – 40 tons, peppers – 40 tons, apples – 25.24 tons, melons – 21 tons, and greens – 9.73 tons.

From Kyrgyzstan, 61.5 tons of quarantined products were exported to Kuzbass, including fresh peppers in the quantity of 40 tons, apples – 5.4 tons, radishes – 5.2 tons, berries – 4 tons, and aubergines – 1.5 tons.

During the reporting period, 60 acts of quarantine phytosanitary control were issued for quarantined products. No issues were identified during the inspections of quarantine facilities in the imported quarantined products.
