68% of Spaniards have changed their shopping habits due to the increase in prices of fresh products

The 'Consumption of Fresh Products in the Face of Inflation' report prepared by Aecoc Shopperview and MeléndezxFrescos puts figures on the impact that inflation has had on fresh products.

According to the report, half of consumers have reduced the volume of fresh products they purchase to save money, while 38% have chosen to buy more in bulk and 18% look for products of lower value. In fact, 68% of consumers have changed their shopping habits due to the increase in prices of fresh products, and 62% look for more offers and promotions.

49% of respondents say that they have reduced their consumption of animal protein and that they now eat more fruits, vegetables, and legumes.

The report also shows how consumers increasingly value sustainability in their purchase of fresh products, prioritizing the purchase of local products, with an environmentally friendly production.
