Zimbabwe's blueberry producers eye Chinese market

After successfully exporting fresh citrus to China, Zimbabwean blueberry producers are now eyeing the expansive Chinese market for their berries.

Clarence Mwale, the CEO of Fair-Mark, a company that supports exporters in meeting international sourcing requirements, emphasized the lucrative opportunities that China offers for Zimbabwe's blueberries.

Traditionally exporting blueberries to the EU and Britain, Zimbabwe, as a major blueberry exporter in Southern Africa, is hopeful for approval to commence blueberry exports to China according to english.news.cn

The positive response and interest received for Zimbabwean blueberries in China have sparked optimism for the expansion of trade. Last year, Zimbabwe and China signed a trade protocol facilitating the export of various citrus, including sweet oranges, mandarins, grapefruits, lemons, limes, and bitter oranges.
