Original potato trade-in: Lays turns cinema visits into healthy blockbusters

Chip manufacturer Lays pulled off a promotion stunt at an American cinema. In exchange for a potato, visitors could enter for free. Chips or fries were not allowed as a means of exchange, making it clear that chips are made from healthy potatoes. They allayed concerns about food waste by making it clear that the collected potatoes would be used again as fertilizer to grow new potatoes.
