At the Cantley House Hotel in Wokingham, a playful potato fight between chefs escalated into violence. Chef Rashim Salim, 35, attacked his colleague, Mr. Barbu, strangling and punching him. The confrontation began over potato croquettes and led to both throwing potatoes at each other. Salim admitted to assault causing actual bodily harm and received an 18-month community sentence. The incident occurred on January 27 and was discussed in court today.
