+Broccoli will label one million heads with the tagline "Soy fan de ti" (I'm you fan)

Broccoli labeling campaign is back to promote broccoli consumption

According to estimates, the Region of Murcia will produce 195,000 tons of broccoli this season, making it the largest producer of this vegetable in Spain. Last year, broccoli exports increased by 4.7%, and forecasts for this year are positive, according to the Minister of Water, Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries in the Region of Murcia, Sara Rubira.

The XVIII Labeling Campaign promoted by +Broccoli began on Tuesday, November 21, with the symbolic cutting of broccoli event that has already become a tradition to mark the beginning of this special annual campaign. Sara Rubira and the president of the +Broccoli association, Antonia Piernas, participated in the event, which featured Olympic swimmer Gemma Mengual as honorary patron.

The campaign, which this year is being held under the slogan ‘Join the Broccoli and Sport team’, consists of the labeling of 1,000,000 broccoli heads and seeks to highlight the importance of combining a balanced diet and sport to have iron health. The event took place on the property of Grupo Lucas, an associate of +Broccoli.

"These kinds of initiatives are essential to continue advancing and to help society look towards this vegetable," stressed Minister Sara Rubira. "We already export to countries such as Germany or the United Kingdom from the Region of Murcia." Specifically, she said, 7 out of every 10 kilos of broccoli that Spain sold abroad last year came from fields and crops in the region of Murcia.

From November 20 to December 3, the associate producers of +Broccoli will distribute one million heads labeled with a special message. The new label, which has a striking shape, color, and the message "Soy fan de ti" (I'm your fan in Spanish), features a QR code that links to the www.soyfandeti.com website.

In addition, Toñi Piernas, president of +Broccoli, stated: "In its thirteen years of existence, the association has managed to position broccoli as an essential item in the shopping basket of thousands of Spaniards. Communication is the key to reaching consumers who already recognize our annual campaign and join it."

On this occasion, +Broccoli has received the support of sponsors who have wanted to collaborate and support the association in the presentation of the campaign: Bayer, Lambert Europa, Maguey Green, and Takii Seed.

In this virtual space, users will be able to discover all the actions planned by +Broccoli for this campaign, including challenges, recipes, raffles, talks, and more surprises. In addition, a new special filter has been launched on Instagram for this campaign.

+Broccoli, the national association that promotes broccoli consumption, was founded in 2010 and is made up of a total of 54 associates.
