The Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority keeps a register of companies and inspection sites that are permitted to export tomatoes and bell peppers to the United States. These companies meet the requirements set by the United States. A list published on December 6 spans two pages. It includes 12 inspection sites and numerous cultivation locations.
After years of expensive air freight, this year saw an increase in export capabilities, although competition on the North American continent with local cultivation and imports from Mexico is also not standing still.
