Lutosa, the Belgian based company, celebrated its 45th anniversary, a journey of four and a half decades 'paved with success, innovation, and a commitment to excellence'. 1988 saw the inauguration of Lutosa’s second plant at Sint-Eloois-Vijve (Waregem), which is also celebrating its 35th anniversary. All the more reason to celebrate since it coincides with ten years under the aegis of McCain.

Lutosa has steadily grown, adapting to market changes and becoming a respected leader in potato processing. With exports to some 146 countries and with a dedicated workforce of nearly 1,000 employees, Lutosa has spent the past 45 years making significant achievements, forging strategic partnerships, and fostering an unwavering drive for customer satisfaction.
In 2013, when McCain acquired Lutosa, a new era dawned for the company. Under the leadership of Alain Duranleau, and today Alain Dufait, Lutosa has cemented its position in the market, reaping the benefits of strategic synergies with its parent company.
Alain Dufait: “We are proud to celebrate 45 years in business. This is a significant milestone for us. We want to thank our customers, dedicated employees, and partners who have all contributed to our ongoing success. Our last ten years under McCain’s banner were a time of growth and improvement, and we look forward to building on this successful collaboration.”
These three anniversaries were celebrated with a gala evening honouring the company’s employees, which took place on Saturday 9 December 2023 with 20 jubilees that were also celebrated, to mark 25 or 35 years of loyal service to Lutosa.
