In the bustling central market of Balti, Moldova, prices for select fruits and vegetables have seen modest increases over the past three weeks. Avocado prices have risen by 50 cents, reaching 6.67 euros, while zucchinis and aubergines now cost 2.8 euros and 3.6 euros per kilogram, respectively—a 25-cent increase.
Garlic prices, varying between 2.05 and 4.10 euros per kilogram two weeks ago, have now stabilized at a minimum of 2.56 euros. Mushroom enthusiasts will find a reason to rejoice as mushroom prices have decreased by 0.5 euros, currently available at 2 to 2.4 euros per kilogram.
Sweet bell peppers are a budget-friendly choice at 3.3 euros per kilogram, nearly 0.8 euros less than a couple of weeks ago. While mandarin prices have slightly decreased to 1.28-1.8 euros, oranges maintain their price at 1.8 euros per kilogram. Pomegranates are now available at 2-2.6 euros, a reduction from the previous 2.8 euros.
