In January, supermarkets and markets across Ukraine witnessed a surge in vegetable and fruit prices. As of January 23, the minimum price for cucumbers reached 1.46 euros/kg, with the maximum hitting 2.10 euros/kg. Tomatoes, the most economical choice, are available from 0.5 euros/kg, while the premium variety is priced at 2.2 euros/kg.
The price dynamics extended to potatoes, onions, carrots, beets, and cabbage. Potatoes range from 0.35 to 0.7 euros/kg in supermarkets. Beets and carrots are priced between 0.3 and 0.4 euros/kg. Onions start at 0.3 euros/kg and can go up to 0.4 euros/kg. Cabbage is the most affordable at 0.2 euros/kg and can reach up to 0.4 euros/kg.
Apple prices have increased to 0.5 euros, while grapes fluctuate between 5 and 6.6 euros/kg. Banana prices have seen a slight rise from 1.5 to 1.6 euros/kg.
