AI quality inspection now also available for soft and stone fruit

The GearStation, Dutch company Gearbox's smart workstation, already evaluates tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, grapes, and cut flowers like roses, gerberas, chrysanthemums, lilies, and tulips. Now, the 100% quality control of soft and stone fruits has been added. That includes strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, peaches, and avocados. The GearStation can thus assess an increasingly comprehensive range of packaged vegetables, fruits, and flowers, whether in punnets, trays, boxes, crates, or buckets.

How the GearStation works
The GearStation ensures 100% quality inspection using the latest camera techniques and AI algorithms. That prevents incorrect products from reaching customers even after harvesting and processing. The GearStation is placed inline among existing processing lines. The client determines the examination's quality standard via the user-friendly interface, where they can set each quality parameter separately. You can easily find the quality of each checked product in the reports, and the dashboards provide updated insights.

You can see the GearStation in action at Fruit Logistica in Berlin from February 7th to 9th in Hall 4.1, booth C-31.
