The African Fruit Company (AFC), based in Hamburg, has announced the formation of a subsidiary. "With the establishment of the 'South American Fruit Company (SFC)', we are expanding and optimizing our offerings for our customers along the supply chain," says Stefan Heine, one of the two managing directors of the SFC, assessing the new company. The SFC is a 100% subsidiary of the African Fruit Company, which has been importing tropical fruits as a medium-sized company for more than 100 years.
"As a first step, we will offer our customers logistics services, commissioning as well as ripening services," adds Florian Eßer, who, together with Stefan Heine, is the managing director for the SFC.
