Rene Bouman, FMI:

"We are currently experiencing a calm lime market"

"After a surprisingly stable last quarter of 2023, the lime market currently is calm, which is normal for this time of the year. In recent weeks, a lot of limes have been shipped from Brazil and that will probably be noticeable in the market from this week onwards," says Rene Bouman of FMI.

"However, there are strict quality controls at all packing stations in Brazil and the expectation is that export volumes will decrease slightly in the coming weeks as a result. This could lead to more balance in the market."
