After collaborating with Anecoop since 2019, the company Ecoinver, based in the municipality of La Mojonera, in the Spanish province of Almeria, has become a full-fledged member of the cooperative group. Ecoinver started its journey in 2007, focusing on a differentiated supply. Thanks to unique products such as mini eggplants, Habanero hot peppers or mini cucumbers, it has positioned itself as a leader in specialty products. In fact, it is currently the leading producer of mini cucumbers in Spain.
Its facilities feature a 14,000 m² warehouse for handling and shipping. It has more than 200 hectares of crops, mainly devoted to the cultivation of peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, eggplants, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, watermelons and melons. Its production is GlobalG.A.P, GRASP, and SPRING certified, and its handling center has the IFS, BRC, C.o.C, Organic and SMETA certificates.
Like Anecoop, Ecoinver is a member of the Spanish Network of the United Nations Global Compact, and in the field of ESG, it has also shown its concern and interest in becoming a driver of prosperity in the Poniente Almeriense, establishing solid partnerships with local producers, providing development opportunities and contributing to the economic growth of the region.
For Alejandro Monzón, president of Anecoop, "the incorporation of Ecoinver is a reason for joy on two fronts. On the one hand, because integration is key to gaining competitiveness in the market, diversifying and generating a greater volume while also extending product seasonality. On the other hand, because the profile of companies like Ecoinver, which has placed sustainability and commitment to its community as the axis of the company's strategy, aligns 100% with Anecoop's social and sustainable vocation."
For his part, Ramón Segura, president of Ecoinver, acknowledged that joining Anecoop is the next logical step after five years of satisfactory commercial relationship for both parties. "There is no doubt that unity is making us stronger in every way. Being part of Anecoop will allow us to advance in terms of efficiency and capacity to respond in an increasingly demanding market. It will also provide us significant support to continue innovating and working on projects that will bring added sustainability and social commitment to the agricultural sector."
