In 2023, Azerbaijan witnessed a notable surge in its apple exports, marking an 11% increase compared to the previous year. According to reports from "Interfax-Azerbaijan," the government disclosed that Azerbaijan exported 91,229 tons of fresh apples, generating revenue of $52,008,700.
Comparing these figures to 2022, the quantitative export growth stood at 10.9%, with revenue experiencing a 10% uptick.
The bulk of exports were directed towards Russia, with 79,548 tons of fresh apples shipped to the country in 2023, reflecting a 3.2% increase compared to the previous year. The revenue from these exports amounted to $51,752,800, marking a 3.1% rise. Russia accounted for 87.2% of Azerbaijan's total apple exports.
In 2022, Azerbaijan exported 82,291 tons of fresh apples, generating the same revenue of $52,008,700. Compared to 2021, there was a substantial 23.1% increase in quantitative exports, accompanied by a revenue surge of 39.2%.
