In February, Russia imports over 178,200 tons of fruits and vegetables through the port of Novorossiysk

During February, the experts from the Southern Interregional Department of the Federal Service Rosselkhoznadzor monitored over 164,500 tons, encompassing a diverse array of imported fruits, at the port of Novorossiysk. The shipments included imported fruits such as lemons, pears, grapes, oranges, avocados, pomegranates, grapefruits, mandarins, and apples.

Additionally, 13,700 tons of vegetables were imported, including peppers, radishes, zucchini, tomatoes, potatoes, and carrots.

Three types of quarantine objects were discovered within the shipments, occurring in 227 instances. As a result, 147 tons of contaminated produce were sent back, while another 2,565 tons underwent decontamination procedures.
