Throughout Design Week (15 to 21 April, 2024), leading brands will unveil their latest creations and visions at two main events: the Salone del Mobile and Fuorisalone. Making its debut appearance at this prestigious showcase, Chiquita becomes one of the first banana brands to participate in Milan Design Week.
Chiquita welcomes visitors to the Chiquita House, an immersive space dedicated to the brand's recent "Pop by Nature" campaign in collaboration with artist Romero Britto, a Brazilian neo-pop painter, sculptor, silkscreen artist, and founder of the Happy Art Movement.
The space offers visitors an unconventional and captivating experience, devoted to the iconic pop fruit: the Chiquita banana. Infused with the vibrant colours of Romero Britto's art, the space metamorphoses into an imaginative and playful realm that mirrors the brand's values and mission to foster and share uplifting moments.
Unique artworks conceived and crafted by Romero Britto, presented in myriad forms to celebrate the tropical, vivacious, and colourful essence of Chiquita bananas, greet visitors, igniting their curiosity and delight. The journey through the Pop universe of the Chiquita House continues with a succession of whimsical and lively rooms inspired by the patterns found in the artist's creations. From a pool brimming with colourful bananas ripe for sliding into, to photo opportunities with bespoke installations, to a room where creativity knows no bounds, allowing visitors to adorn walls and contribute to a colossal collective artwork. Everything is made possible in the vibrant world of the Chiquita House.
"We are thrilled to make our debut at Milan Design Week, marking a significant milestone for Chiquita as one of the first banana brands to participate in this prestigious event," said Mariaelena Paragone, Global Brand Marketing Lead. "Our collaboration with Romero Britto embodies our brand's distinctive attributes in creativity, joy and heritage, and we're excited to share this unique experience with visitors from around the world."
The Chiquita House awaits visitors from April 15 to 21 at Via San Marco 22 in Milan. Admission is free.
