Record for fastest marathon in fruit costume

Matthew Seidel of Oakland, California, set a pending Guinness World Record for the fastest marathon run in a fruit costume, completing the Boston Marathon in 2:35:38 dressed as a banana. This beats the previous record by over five minutes, held by Jordan Maddocks who ran as a fruit in 2:41:27.
