Uzbekistan is set to supply fruits and vegetables worth more than 10 million euros to Bashkortostan, following a contract signed between the Bashkir enterprise "Eurasia - Ufa" and a sales company from Uzbekistan at the ongoing international exhibition "Innoprom. Central Asia" in Tashkent.
According to Alexey Gusev, the Minister of Trade and Services of Bashkortostan, the contract encompasses nearly all fruits and vegetables cultivated in Uzbekistan, reflecting the growing trade between the two regions.
Gusev highlighted that the agreement includes fresh and processed produce and aims to meet the local demand in Bashkortostan and serve neighbouring republics. He underscored the significance of this partnership, noting the role of "Eurasia - Ufa" as a major distributor of Uzbek dried fruits in Russia.
Additionally, a "roadmap" for cooperation development between the Cabinet of Ministers of Karakalpakstan (Uzbekistan) and the government of Bashkortostan for the years 2024–2026 was signed during the international forum-exhibition "Innoprom. Central Asia" in Tashkent.
