"Agroholding 2012," a part of the "Epicenter Agro" group of companies, has planted over 10 hectares of early watermelon hybrids in the Khmelnytskyi region, Ukraine. The fields were planted with early hybrids from Syngenta company: Pharaoh F1, Lorian F1, Balaton F1, and Karistan F, as was reported on a news TV channel.
A sprinkler system was used for irrigation on the farm. 30 seasonal workers were employed for watermelon cultivation.
According to the first deputy general director of "Agroholding 2012," the climatic conditions of the Khmelnytskyi region and its distance from the front line allow for compensating for the shortfall in watermelon harvests from Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, which have become inaccessible due to hostilities.
The harvest of watermelons is planned to be collected from the end of July.
