Their first time at Macfrut

Positive feedback for Indian companies in Italy

A nation that is almost a continent, with a considerable fresh produce production which though is never enough and always looking for new technologies - this is India as it attended Macfrut for the first time with a large stand and one of the most representative companies of the country, coordinated by Apeda. The collaboration of the Italian embassy in Delhi was essential for the participation of India in the fair, as it provided its full support throughout the event.

Indian exporter Aamiya Farm Fresh exports fresh mango, green chili peppers and baby corn. Ishant Saini welcomed visitors to the stand.

"Macfrut is a leading event for the fresh produce sector, as it attracts visitors from all over the world including importers, exporters, wholesalers and professionals. Our participation was positive and included B2B meetings, networking and opportunities to promote our innovative products, favoring commercial partnerships and collaborations," explain Apeda representatives.

"Our format makes us unique and represents a great opportunity for many international realities such as India, which is a great producer but also a great importer of some types of products and especially technologies, mainly from Europe," explains Macfrut President Renzo Piraccini.

I would like to thank Apeda and the embassy for their attendance, which contributed to giving an international scope to the fair," added the President.

Scion Agrios exports fresh produce including grapes to Spain, the Netherlands and Germany. The company also imports apples and cherries. Chiranjeer A Rajanna welcomed guests to the stand.

The Indian hall at Macfrut was inaugurated by MP Akash Gupta, Indian councilor at the Indian embassy in Rome. In addition to visiting the stands, Akash Gupta attended various meetings with leading personalities from the business world and global buyers, encouraging exhibitors to focus on Indian-Italian cooperation.
