Palladium facilitates export of Amrapalli mangoes from Odisha to London

Palladium, through the Promotion & Stabilization of Farmer Producer Organizations Project, has facilitated the export of 950 kg of Amrapalli mangoes by the Mahila Kisan Farmer Producer Company from Rayagada, Odisha, to London. This initiative has led to a 40% increase in price realization for over 1,900 women farmers.

Gita Nimhala, a board member of MKFPCL, highlighted the significance of accessing international markets and adopting best practices in packaging and storage to establish sustainable market linkages. Biswajit Behera, Director of Palladium India, emphasized the role of women-led Farmer Producer Organizations in transforming the agriculture sector by accessing international markets, thereby ensuring higher price realizations and promoting economic and social change. Additionally, under the same project, Palladium has also supported the export of 750 kg of various premium mango varieties to the Indian Mango Festival in Doha, Qatar, scheduled from May 30 to June 8, 2024.
