The import of fruits and vegetables from China to Russia continues to grow. Specifically, 8,223.4 tons of fresh vegetables, fruits, and berries were delivered from China during the week, including 1,985.7 tons of young potatoes. These are the largest deliveries of potatoes from China since the beginning of the year, reports IA UssurMedia.
In total, the Rosselkhoznadzor management processed 66 batches of root vegetables.
According to the Primorsky Administration of Rosselkhoznadzor, from June 3 to June 9, 9,169.3 tons of fresh vegetables, fruits, and berries from various countries were monitored.
Rosselkhoznadzor monitored the import of:
- 609.9 tons of bananas grown in Ecuador,
- 110.2 tons of fresh apples from South Africa,
- 91.2 tons of pears grown in Argentina,
- 71 tons of oranges and mandarins from Egypt,
- 11.6 tons of exotic fruits from Vietnam,
- 52 tons of onions from New Zealand.
All quarantined products were allowed to be imported following quarantine phytosanitary control.
