Residents of the Stavropol Krai in Russia concerned about high cost of local apples

The Stavropol Krai in Russia has achieved self-sufficiency in apple production, with enough harvests to supply other regions, mentioned Governor Vladimir Vladimirov. "Every third apple on the shelves of Russian retail chains is from Stavropol", he announced.

However, residents of the Stavropol Krai in Russia have expressed concerns about the high cost of local apples, with many taking to social media to voice their complaints.

"If only the prices for local apples would drop because the imported ones are cheaper than the local ones," wrote Stavropol residents. "And the prices for these apples are sky-high," reported other region residents. "Local apples are sold at a high price all over the region in markets," said some comments.
