India interested in exporting potatoes and pomegranates to Russia

Specialists from Rosselkhoznadzor engaged in discussions with representatives of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Government of India regarding the supply of fruits and vegetables to Russia. New Delhi has expressed a desire to expand the range of goods exported. Specifically, the country is interested in exporting potatoes and pomegranates.

This information was reported by the Russian agency. They noted that Russia currently imports grapes and raisins, dried vegetables, and bananas from India.

"The service, by the agreements reached, expects information from the Indian side on the planned export volumes of potatoes and pomegranates, places of cultivation, and the distribution of quarantine pests characteristic of these products in India," stated Rosselkhoznadzor's announcement.

It is noted that upon receiving the requested information, Russia and India will continue negotiations to expand the supply of Indian fruits and vegetables to Russian territory.
