Approximately 800 watermelons filled a road in Jiadung Township, Pingtung County, on Monday during an event promoting the locally grown fruit. The watermelons were placed upright, inspired by the tradition of standing eggs on their ends for the Dragon Boat Festival, which coincided with the event this year.
