Guillaume Angilbert, Oliver

“The lime market is growing”

Oliver, a company specialized in the trade of exotic fruit at Rungis, offers lime shipped by boat from Brazil all year round. "We like to work with this origin because it is often qualitative, with more beautiful and juicier fruits," explains Guillaume Angilbert. The market is growing, as it usually does when summer approaches. "Every summer, prices rise a little."

The slightly lower production has led to higher prices. "The more products we have, the lower the prices, because we have more to sell. Conversely, when production drops, prices rise, as is currently the case."

Despite the growing market, consumption remains intact. "Sales have remained stable, although the market is complicated at the moment due to a number of factors. But we remain positive, as there is still consumption of exotic fruit."
