Patrick Meikle - Golden Bay Fruit

“We are expanding sales in most Asian countries that New Zealand has access to"

Golden Bay Fruit will once again be exhibiting on the new Zealand stand at Asia Fruit Logisitca in Hong Kong in September.

"We are very grateful to New Zealand Apple & Pear Industry and Plant and Food Research who organize the shared NZ pavilion which showcases a range of New Zealand companies and products," commented Patrick Meikle, Chief Commercial Officer at Golden Bay Fruit.

The main volume markets for Golden Bay Fruit and many New Zealand apple growers are China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, although they are very focussed on developing other markets too.

"We are expanding sales in most Asian countries that New Zealand has access to, and are supporting efforts to gain access to additional markets such as South Korea. We have the full range of apples and pears for the Asian market, Sassy, Miranda, Cherish, Posh, Gala, Braeburn, Pink Lady, Piqaboo, Fuji, Dazzle, Ruby Star etc."

"Gala is still the biggest volume overall, although some of the new varieties such as Sassy, Miranda, Cherish, Dazzle, Ruby Star, are gaining a lot of traction and volumes are growing quickly. Posh has first commercial volumes currently packed and on the way to markets globally."

Golden Bay Fruit will be in Hall 5 Stand Q20.
