When visiting a trade show, the booth of US company Babé Farms is usually one of the more colorful ones. Root vegetables like beets, radishes, and carrots lend themselves well for beautiful displays. In addition, the company utilizes photography to make their products stand out. Photographing fresh produce effectively is crucial for the company's sales. "Good photography communicates the quality of our produce," says Sarah Grizzle of Babé Farms' Outside Sales department. In addition, visually appealing photos help colorful products stand out, capturing the attention of buyers, chefs, as well as end-users. "When it comes to fresh produce, eye-appeal is buy-appeal," Grizzle added.

Inspire creativity
"These photos not only build credibility with our brand but improve our brand presence on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and our company website. Our goal is to inspire end-users' creativity with this beautiful imagery showcasing the colorful variety of specialty vegetables available at Babé Farms." In addition to social media, the company's imagery is utilized in email blasts, product spec sheets, media ads, trade show booth displays, as well as Babé's home page. On Instagram, the company has hopped on the reel trend to show their products in action, displaying potential uses and recipes. "Recently, we shared a reel on how to make a French Breakfast Radish Crostini."

Several talented photographers capture stunning images of the company's specialty vegetables. "If you follow us on social media, you may have noticed the uptick in high quality content we've been releasing." It is the work of different photographers, but recently, the company has also teamed up with Lyndsey Hiltner, sister of Matt Hiltner who works in Babé Farms' marketing department. In addition to shooting food content for brands, Lyndsey also manages Censored Baker, a vegan baking blog geared toward "annoying eaters". In her blog, she posts original recipes and video content centered around sweet vegan treats, including fresh produce. Her favorite vegetable is Romanesco. Not only does it photograph well, she loves to prepare it by roasting it with garlic and olive oil until it is lightly charred.
